New Photoworks 2023

Several new photoworks from my recent travels to Taipei, Taiwan.

A Real estate in the commercial heart around the icon of Taipei, the Taipei 101 Tower. A high degree of unity and 'coordination' is suggested in soft pastel tones, as if it were a blank canvas on which ideas can be projected for the future of the city.

In reality, this is in stark contrast to the daily bombast in this district, where commercial, tourism and real estate projects fight for attention with extreme neon lighting, towering billboards and screaming entertainment. However, the 'branding' of the city as an ideal location for multinationals and the banking industry is leading in presentations to the public. This photo work not only depicts that 'open' view towards investors, but also unintentionally the selective image as painted by the government.
