De Kunstparade - Stedelijk Museum Prinsenhof, Delft
GROUPSHOW
From 18 October 2024 until 5 January 2025, the Museum Prinsenhof in Delft (the Netherlands) is pulling out all the stops with its exhibition The ArtParade. Surprising – Colourful – Contemporary.
Nearly half of the works of art are from our own collection and have not been shown for a long time. The ArtParade will put on display a wide variety of artistic disciplines, materials and techniques, among which videos, photography, charcoal drawings, installations, textiles and a tapestry of natural materials.
Never before have we exhibited such a comprehensive selection of works of art by established and emerging artists with a special connection to Delft. In the festively designed exhibition, 38 large installations, objects, paintings and drawings give a glimpse of the new visual power the city generates. The ArtParadescatters the works like confetti over the museum’s galleries and outside them, with surprise following surprise. This final exhibition, preceding the museum’s temporary closing for a major refurbishment, is a wonderful prelude to the ‘new’ museum, where there will be more room for art from the 20th and 21st centuries.
