“The leitmotif in this show is abstraction. A rather extreme choice that isn’t necessarily representative for all my work, but (…) a powerful element. The non-narrative character of abstraction is one of the roads that are always present in my projects”.

Luc Binst of Binst Architects invited me for a spatial intervention as part of the solo exhibition in B Scene - Room for Art in Antwerp (B), early 2022. That, and a focus on abstraction over the years. This minimalistic approach of my oeuvre, we figured, could take over the exhibition space, inviting visitors to reflect on the essence of image in an architectural context.
