Urban development as an expression of our time is it’s central theme. Visual culture is the creative force driving the world. Increasingly, the image evoked by the architecture – its “Instagrammability” – is more important than the user or resident’s experience.

In this exuberant show, models take centre stage. Always created either before or after reality unfolds itself, they are never now, nor here, but mere manipulated translations for political, economic and commercial gains. These are canvasses on which ideas are being projected, 'branding' a city as an ideal investment opportunity or for living the good life. Paradoxically, like in Sim-City, the public gets strategic command of this serious playing field of images that stretches from copy-paste architecture to utopian ideas.

In between fact and fiction, I’m triggered to impose a challenging visual style, provoking the search for a freer perception, both implicit and poetic, but true to the contemporary characteristics of imagination.
